A natural progression from the Classic, the Regal is a medium sized reel with a slimmer spool than the Classic.

The Regal possesses the same rigorous specification standards as the 4 7/8” reel with a lower cost. This model is most popular with anglers that have a slightly smaller hand. Every reel in the Gold Series has fittings made of premium quality brass, hand-polished to the strictest standards and treated with a special protective oil that penetrates the metal, guarding it for longer from the elements. The Royalty sports the round hole design. RR = Round Royalty (this is the same rule for all reels in the Gold series)

With the Royalty you have the advantage of being able to use your fingers in the holes for line retrieval. Both the Royalty and the Sovereign are larger than the standard size of centrepin reels at 4 7/8” and perfect for larger rivers so you can long trot a float and get much quicker line retrieval.
